Ann Arbor, Michigan is a very safe place to live although emergencies, disasters, accidents, injuries, and crimes can occur without warning at any time. Being physically and psychologically prepared to handle unexpected emergencies is an individual as well as an organizational responsibility. Listed below is just a highlight of the information the University has available to everyone on emergency procedures. - For Police or medical emergencies call 9-1-1.
- In case of fire, pull fire alarm, then call 9-1-1.
- For a toxic spill, contact OSEH at (734) 647-1143 and then notify DPS at (734) 763-1131 and Technical Service at (734) 647-7496.
- In case of power failure, please contact Technical Services at (734) 647-7496. After hours, contact the Plant Department at (734) 647-2059.
- For minor plumbing or electrical emergencies after hours call the Plant Department at (734) 647-2059.
