“The Restoration of the Athenian Acropolis (1834-2005)”
The lecture will show the efforts performed by the Greek state in order to restore the monuments of the Acropolis at Athens, since the beginning of the 19th century to our days.  Emphasis will be given on the restoration works in course since 1976, executed by the Acropolis Restoration Service of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture under the scholarly supervision of the Committee for the Conservation of the Acropolis Monuments.
