LSA Theme Semesters
LSA Theme Semesters connect the great intellectual and cultural strengths of the University of Michigan to the issues defining our world today. Across campus, faculty and students explore through special courses, guest speakers, performances, and other public events complex issues in ways that strive for perspective and insight.

Fall 08:
The Energy theme semester will feature student writing contests, prizes for energy conservation ideas, a new course on the human and social behavioral side of energy use and demand, and visiting speakers on energy innovations and history.
