Registering for Your First Term
There are many
online resources that you will use to learn about and register for LSA courses.
It is important that you familiarize yourself with these resources for registration.
LSA Online Course Guide
www.lsa.umich.edu/cg/
The LSA Online Course Guide is an invaluable resource for
finding out about the courses you’d like to register for. The online
Course Guide contains the most accurate and up-to-date information
about course offerings in LSA. Use it to browse course offerings and descriptions
in every LSA department. Courses are also listed according to requirements they
fulfill (e.g., Distribution, First-Year & Upper-Level Writing, Language,
R&E, and QR). Refer to the LSA Online Course Guide for
updated lists of open courses and waitlist procedures for each class. The LSA
Online Course Guide also contains links to some descriptions of courses
offered in other units on campus.
Wolverine Access
wolverineaccess.umich.edu
Your last stop in the registration process, Wolverine Access is a web-based
tool that allows you to register for courses online. Wolverine
Access contains information about class times and locations and the most
up-to-date enrollment figures for all classes. Outside of registration, you
will also use Wolverine Access to update personal information online (e.g.,
your address, financial information, etc.).
Schedule
of Classes
www.umich.edu/~regoff/schedule/
The Registrar’s Office publishes an online Schedule of Classes, where
you can find course titles, times and locations for all courses taught at UM.
This is useful once you know exactly which courses you want to take. It does
not, however, contain course descriptions or information on course availability.
LSA Student
Website
www.lsa.umich.edu/lsa/students/
The student section of the LSA website contains a wealth of information that
you will need throughout your career in LSA, including LSA policies and procedures,
student advising, and events. Many links to resources and support services can
be found on this website as well.
WolverineAccess
On-line registration system that not only allows you to register but is
also where you will conduct a great deal of student business. On WolverineAccess
P=primary, S=secondary and A=autoenroll.
The number associated with the P is the number you will use to register.
Modify This function on WolverineAccess allows you to change
the way you will be graded for the course (it gives you the pass/fail option)
Override If a course needs instructor permission or is
full and the instructor gives you permission to take the class, they will
issue you an electronic permission (or override) which will allow you to
then register on WolverineAccess.
