GLL's Costume Collection

With the help of master costume designer Debbie Burr, the Department has created a growing collection of costumes for use in its courses (e.g. a full set is available for the course on Mozart's Zauberflöte), and by students in creating skits and videos for second-year language classes.  A searchable database is under construction; meanwhile, you can click here to see a sample.

GLL's Slide Collection

GLL's collection of approximately 5,000 slides is located in room 3106 MLB, next door to the Main Office, in the lateral file behind the door on the right as one walks in. Graduate students and faculty are welcome to check out entire binders (never individual slides or sheets) just like library books, by filling out the card in the back and leaving it in Kimberly Davis’s mailbox. Click here to learn more about the collection's holdings.

University of Michigan Libraries

U of M is home to some of the world’s greatest research libraries. The entire collection is searchable online.  Most items are available through Interlibrary Loan, and most are readily accessible on site in open stacks.
