German Studies Sequences

Students interested in German Studies and German concentrators can pursue specific interests in depth by electing multiple courses from the following sequences.

German majors are strongly encouraged to elect courses in at least three different sequences, and at least three courses within one of the following sequences as a way attaining breadth without sacrificing depth.

Please note that none of the conversation courses (205, 206, 305, 306, 405, 406), and no more than four courses offered in English translation may be counted towards a major or minor in German.

Not all courses can be offered every year, or even every two years. Please contact the Concentration Advisor, Kalli Federhofer (3422 MLB), for a projection of the courses the Department expects to offer over the next two to three years.
