About Kenneth Dewoskin

Professor DeWoskin specializes in early Chinese literature and cultural history.  His research includes issues in early narrative and early theories of the arts and music.  His books include A Song for One or Two: Music and the Concept of Art in Early China and Doctors, Diviners, and Magicians of Ancient China: Biographies of fang-shih and he co-authored a book with James Crump, In Search of the Supernatural; The Written Record (Soushenji)

Professor DeWoskin retired in 2000.
